Unfortunately – research shows that close to 90% of people fail miserably to reach their fitness goals each year!

Staying on track can be tough, but with these 4 tips you will find it much easier to reach your New Year’s fitness goals!
4 Tips to NOT FAIL on your New Year’s Fat Loss Resolution
Dress for Success
I know for my wife (and i’ll admit me too) – nothing is more motivating than some fresh new gym gear to start off a new workout commitment.
Treat yourself to some new gym gear to start 2017!
Research shows that when you love your workout clothes you actually workout longer and are more motivated to workout more frequently.
This is even truer for women – so make sure you tap into this hidden motivation booster and dress yourself in style to start your 2017 workout regimen.
2. Smaller Goals
This doesn’t mean that I don’t want you to have giant EPIC goals for 2017 with your fitness.
What i mean by “smaller goals” is i want you to set shorter term goals that you can keep chipping away at and create “mini-wins.”
For example – if you are setting out to lose 50 lbs. Of fat in 2017 that number can be a little intimidating when first starting.
Instead of focusing on the big number of 50 lbs. – switch your focus to losing 2 lbs. Every single week!
When all of your focus and attention is on reaching the shorter term goal – you actually speed up your progress to your long term goals!
Consistency is the name of the game with fitness, so whether you are trying to lose a bunch of fat, or gain a bunch of muscle – set small short term goals and keep on chipping away at them.
3. Perfect Diet or Nah?
January 1st is going to come and you are going to put your foot on the pedal and strive for perfection with your diet plan.
I see it time and time again – and it's a recipe for disaster!
We are all human – and we can’t eat plain chicken breasts, broccoli, and green tea for every single meal!
That’s why i ask all of my clients a questionnaire on what foods they enjoy the most before they sign up for my 12 week Shred plan and my 12 week lean bulk plan.
Getting to eat the foods you enjoy while making fast progress is the perfect storm for consistent and fast results.
With the right approach to flexible dieting you certainly don’t need to eat boring and bland food!
4. Get in the Habit of Smart Snacking
If your goal is weight loss – the biggest thing you can do is consume high fiber nutrient dense snacks between meals.
The empty calories between meals will get you in heaps of trouble regardless of your fitness goal – as they not only spike your blood sugar but do nothing to curb your appetite.
One of my favorite high fiber snacks of all time is delicious and creamy peanut butter on top of organic apple slices.
It’s the perfect snack regardless of your fitness goal because it's loaded with protein, fiber, healthy fats, and Vitamin C!
In order to keep up your fitness progress far past new years you will need to consume smart snacks!
